What is ToyotaCare?
One of the biggest concerns for almost every driver is that the minute you drive your new car, truck, or SUV off the lot, you need to start worrying about maintenance! For many folks, ongoing maintenance costs are one of the big considerations with getting a new vehicle, and they’re the last thing those drivers want to have to deal with off the bat. That’s why Toyota has come up with a solution – the ToyotaCare program!
The ToyotaCare program is a no-cost maintenance plan that is included with every new Toyota vehicle. It’s not a warranty – that is featured separately as a new car warranty, a powertrain warranty, and more. ToyotaCare is a program that covers routine scheduled maintenance for new Toyota vehicles, as well as providing roadside assistance. New vehicles are covered for the first 2 years or 25,000 miles of services, whichever comes first.

How Does ToyotaCare Work?

When the driver receives notification, they can then take their Toyota to the nearest convenient participating Toyota dealership. There, Toyota-trained technicians will perform maintenance services like changing engine oil and filters, rotating tires, performing multi-point inspections, and checking and topping off fluids, all using genuine Toyota parts and approved fluids.
Additionally, the 24-hour roadside assistance program, which runs for 2 years with unlimited miles, covers the continental U.S. and Alaska, for services including:
Battery jump-starts
Lockout services
Emergency fuel deliveries
Flat tire services
Towing
Winching
All of these services will help the new Toyota owner have peace of mind across the first few years of ownership!

How Much Does ToyotaCare Cost?
Should I Consider ToyotaCare Plus?
Some drivers will want to extend their peace of mind, which is where ToyotaCare Plus comes in. It’s simply the ToyotaCare program extended, for a small cost. All of the same coverages are included – oil and filter changes, major 15,000-mile maintenance, 24/7 roadside assistance, the works. It’s up to the owner how long they want to extend it, it all depends on how long they are likely to keep their vehicle. There are six different term length options available:
3 years/35,000 miles
3 years/45,000 miles
4 years/45,000 miles
4 years/60,000 miles
5 years/55,000 miles
5 years/75,000 miles
This additional coverage is for vehicles that are within 37 months of their date of first use, and have fewer than 31,000 miles on them. Vehicles outside of these will be ineligible for the ToyotaCare Plus program.
